dr Andrija Lompar - Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs

dr Andrija Lompar was born on 26 November, 1956 at Cetinje.

He finished Elementary and High school in Kotor. He is also holder of »Luča« diploma.

He graduated from the School of Mechanical Engineering, in Shipbuilding. 1981 he received Master degree from the World Nautical University in Sweden, and 1988 he received a doctorate from the University of Montenegro.

He is married. Father of three children. Lives in Kotor.

He can fluently speak and write English language.

His professional engagement he dedicated in complete to maritime affairs and transport and he is also participant in a number of projects related transport and maritime affairs.

As an author and/or coauthor he published a number of studies, and as permanent or hired consultant he was working with a number of enterprices mostly from the field of maritime affairs and transport. He leads a team which made it possible for our seafarers to be at IMO »White list« and represents our country on relevant conferences.

He is also representative of the University of Montenegro in various integration programmes and reforms of the universities of South East Europe in European educational area.
